EPO Online Services have been designed to allow applicants, attorneys and other users to conduct their business with the European Patent Office electronically in a state-of-the-art secure environment, protected by smart card or username/password access.
With Online Services you can
- prepare patent applications on your PC and submit them online using PatXML and the Online Filing software
- search in the European Patent Register, monitor Register data and look into files using Register Plus, WebRegMT and Online Secure File Inspection
- organise your files, receive communications from the EPO and pay fees using My Files, Mailbox and Online Fee Payment
1 SEPTEMBER 2010 update for Online Filing V5 now available for download
Online Filing V5 users can now download the 1 September 2010 update from the download centre on this website. Users who have activated the Live Update function will be notified automatically.

New feature: 'Online Filing availability'
An 'Online Filing availability' feature is now in place (see the left navigation bar of the website, between 'Tutorials' and the user support information).
You can now immediately verify whether the EPO and DPMA Online Filing servers are up and running.
In the event of an outage, 'Online Filing availability' will ensure that you have the latest status information at your fingertips.
