Online Filing: urgent certificate update required
Recent maintenance work on expiring certificates has unfortunately led to a number of unexpected technical problems which are currently affecting use of the Online Filing software.
In order to restore full Online Filing functionality, users are advised as a matter of urgency to download and install the certificate update available on the Download centre of this website without delay. Users of the Live Update function will be notified of the update automatically.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Important:
As of 02.00 hrs CET on 1 July 2009 users will no longer be able to file online unless they install the update first.
If as a result of the short notice involved you are unable to install the update in time, please contact our user support direct.
Applications filed with national patent offices are not affected.

New: online accounts updated within three working days!
Did you know that if you use Online Fee Payment, Online Filing or the automatic debiting procedure to pay fees you can now generally view and print an updated account statement, including your account balance, within three working days of submitting your debit order?
This is because online debit orders as well as automatic debit orders are given priority over debit orders submitted on paper.
So, if you have not already done so, we recommend that you switch to EPO Online Services to pay your fees. Your debit orders will be processed more quickly and you will be able to view the details on your account statement within a very short time.
